Downtown has many festivals, the two biggest are the Garden Jubilee and the NC Apple Festival which draws over 350,000 people each September.

A private retreat without all the fuss of a country club community, where every element from the 18′ wide paved roads to the dramatic entrance gates are well thought out, and done absolutely right.
Each of us had a vision for the type of mountain architecture we wanted to build, and so we created the perfect canvas to paint it on. Set apart from other private mountain communities, Skydance celebrates contemporary, mountain rustic, and post and beam architecture.
